New Dragon Images
|
|
Dragons have long been a priority here at Dharma Rose. We fancy ourselves as dragon hunters after a fashion, seeking out the best artwork featuring dragon images by top fantasy artists. Our Dragon Art Collection typically features about four-dozen dragon images with a variety of dragon themes from the traditional to new and unusual perspectives on these magical beasts. From traditional Tibetan and Chinese dragon art, to fierce fire breathing dragons, and Gothic dragon skulls; green, red, black and blue dragons, even silver dragons, we have collected them all for you to browse. |
So each new year, we wait with bated breath to see what new and wonderful dragon images have been dreamed up (perhaps that should be nightmared up?) by the wonderful fantasy artists licensed by The Mountain. This year's crop is a six-pack bounty of dragon artwork that is impressive in its variety as it execution. From the deeply unsettling images in War Dragon to the serene Peace Dragon, and from the ancient traditional Japanese dragon art of Samurai to the modern Gothic fusion of the winged beasts and death-personified in Dragon Reaper, the fantasy art itself is as beautiful as it is horrific. |

New Dragon Artwork
|
|
Dragon Reaper - Ed Beard, who has penned several of The Mountain's iconic fantasy designs, takes a darker path with this Gothic fantasy art for SkulBone where Death rides a dragon. |
Fireball - Certain to become an instant classic, this artwork of a fiery red dragon climbing out of a lava pit by Vincent Hie is available on two shirt styles. |
Peace Dragon - While we have not previously associated dragons with peace, this unusual piece of fantasy art does fit in nicely with The Mountain's new Peace motif. |
Red Skull Dragon - A Blue Dragon has gone chameleon, and is now a classic red dragon. A flashier version of Skull Dragon is now available on a comfortable ringspun cotton shirt. |
Samurai - Dragons have deep roots in many ancient traditions. Samurai honors the Japanese mythology. |
War Dragon - Perhaps our most shocking new dragon artwork, contrasting the classic dragon art by Romas Kukalis with a field of World War I soldiers in gas masks. Positively chilling. |
