(Soon To Be...) Gone From The Mountain
October 1st, 2008
| The Mountain has released its discontinued list for 2008. Unfortunately, many classic and favorite designs are scheduled to be cut. We are confident that wonderful new shirts are waiting in the wings to replace them in 2009. However, we encourage you to take a stroll through this (very long) list for any last chances at some wonderful shirts that you must have to add to your wardrobe. (John is prone to saving a new copy of a treasured shirt to replace a favorite when the holes are no longer socially acceptable in polite company.) |
| We will do our best to keep the listings updated, but please be warned that sizes and designs are disappearing quickly. We often have no way of knowing which are gone before we try to order them. We will do our best to get them for you, but any size or design may be sold out without warning. |
| On the plus side, most of these are on the clearance sale list, so the prices are excellent. Browse now before it is too late. |

Fall Fashions
September 2, 2008
Here in New England, Fall has arrived early with nightly temperatures routinely dipping into the low forties. The only solace we have found is that three favored studios have announced their Fall lineups. Together, they provide a wonderful variety so that everyone is certain to find something to add to their wardrobe. We are only adding shirts when they are available and will do our best to keep current as these new designs come off the press. |

Our New Cart
August 31st, 2008
Welcome to the new Rose...
| Our brand new and improved cart went live on August 6th. So far, so great. The wrinkles have been slight, and we continue to discover new benefits. There may well be significant issues yet to be solved, but at this point it appears to be well worth the investment. |
| This cart allows you to create a customer account, reducing the chances of typos (we get invalid e-mail addresses weekly, making it hard to keep that customer updated on their order), and making future visits a snap. These accounts remember your contact and shipping information (including multiple shipping addresses), but not your financial information. |
| When you create one of these accounts, you will automatically be enrolled in our new frequent shopper program. Your customer account will automatically track these Dharma Points, and periodically we will send you a gift certificate or credit once you have accrued a certain number of points. |
| These customer accounts also allow for discounts, so... For the month of September, all registered customer accounts will automatically receive a 5% discount. When you sign up for our newsletter, you will get a 10% discount for September after we have moved you to the newsletter group (this usually takes 2-3 days). |

It was Forty Years Ago Today...
June 21, 2008
Actually, it has either been forty-one or sixty-one years since Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play. Never the less, we are please to commemorate this auspicious occasion with seven puzzles: perfect for those rainy afternoons, or those long winter nights that are surely just around the corner. |
Other Designs include, Yellow Submarine, a Jimi Hendrix collage, the Rolling Stones dragon, Pink Floyd armchair, and two fantasy designs by renown deadhead artists.

| Liquid Blue boasts some of the finest fantasy artists in the business, mastering their unique blend of edge and humor. They clearly haven't been hibernating as they have delivered (mostly in time for the Equinox) over a dozen designs, several of which are destined to become classics. |
| Liquid Blue is also leveraging another strength of theirs, as they continue to lead the industry in large-format and all-over-printing. |

Facebook
February 12, 2008
| I probably should have listened to our eldest son in 2004 when he insisted we had to check out the latest and hippest network on the face of the web, but given my lingering use of the word "hippest," clearly I was not ready. Better-late-than-never, Dharma Rose has finally joined the Facebook revolution. I have lots to learn before I can develop the page so it becomes a vibrant nexus for fans, friends, and family, but in the mean time, you are invited to visit and leave comments and reviews, and by all means become a fan! |

Return of the Native Northwest
September 23, 2007
| Our Native Northwest collection is truly a labor of love at Dharma Rose. So much so that we are happy to meet the unique challenges and expenses of importing these beautiful shirts. |
| Given the inherent delays of imports we have limited our Native Northwest store to in-stock items. Of late our inventory has waned, so we are happy to announce that we have just received a new shipment, and anticipate several more before the end of the year. |

| Our premier producer of Jerry Garcia artwork and all-around cool T-Shirts has just released its Summer 2007 catalog. |

| SkulBone has just released its new catalog, and to our eyes, they have surpassed even their acclaimed initial offerings. Some of their Dark Fantasy shirts are not for the faint of heart, but for the Gothically inclined they are without equal. We strive to celebrate excellence wherever we find it, so with love, and a small shudder, we welcome them to our shelves. |
| There are several wonderful designs in more traditional Fantasy realms including three great new Dragon shirts and brand new Halloween category. The depth of the gloomier designs has spurred us to create two additional Goth categories: Reapers & Death and Fallen Fairies. |
| There are plenty of other new SkulBone shirts scattered among other stores, so we urge you to visit the New-30-Day-Store for the immediate future, or browse all our Fantasy offerings. |

Living The Happy Life
Happy Life Studios is truly a kindred outfit, a family-run business concerned with quality and beauty. They somehow manage span all our most important themes, including Grateful Dead, Tie-Die, Nature, Fantasy, Celtic, Native American, and are now trailblazing our growing Enlightenment art section. This season, they have brought us particular joy by reviving one of our all-time favorite Grateful Dead designs: Rainforest Panther. We even had a small run on denim blue — a Dharma Rose exclusive! |

| What's New at The Blue? |
| Liquid Blue has been a cornerstone of our store from the beginning (we are their customer #17), and they continue to produce great new art. This Spring in addition to their new Grateful Dead and Fantasy designs, they have also dipped their toe into higher consciousness with a Chakra shirt (pictured to the right). |

Returned to Sender
November 22, 2006
| It has recently come to our attention that email from dharmarose.com is being blocked by some ISPs (including Comcast). We are told that this is because someone else who has a site hosted on the same server is suspected of spamming. (Dharma Rose appreciates that spam would only alienate our current or potential customers.) |
| We hope to have this straightened out soon, but it may crop up again in the future. The bottom line is that if you are concerned that you have not heard from us, please email us (john@dharmarose.com) at your earliest convenience. |

Frank Howell & Carol Grigg
January 30th, 2006
We have begun a massive realignment of our greeting card collections with two of our favorties, Frank Howell and Carol Grigg. |
| We now offer twice as many Frank Howell paintings organized into collections of eight, sixteen, and thirty-two images. |
| While we were not able to add quite as many new Carol Grigg paintings, we have assembled two new twelve-card collections of her stunning watercolors, boosting her numbers by 50%. |

Who Knows What's In Stock?
(The Rose Knows... mostly)
November 18th, 2005
While over 80% of our catalog can be in stock within 24-48 hours, we understand that sometimes you just can't wait.
| As the holiday shopping crunch looms, and as we are searching for new efficiencies to complement our leaner profile, we are pleased to announce a new mode of shopping at Dharma Rose. |
| This search-based store lacks the detail, the extra-large images, and much of the variety of our normal store, but it does track our inventory to feature items that should be available for shipping within 24 hours. We can't promise that all the featured items are still in stock at any given moment, but we update the database at least once a day, and will do so more often as we get closer to the frantic days of mid-December. |
| The In-Stock Store has an added convenience in that it can be searched by size. Let us know what you think! |

Who Be Cool?
May 5, 2005
| Dharma Rose recently invested in a new store front by purchasing a premium domain from a reseller. We feel that we are waaay cooler than most of the sites who show up when you Google "cool shirts"; if you agree, you can help us out in a big way by linking to www.cool-shirts.com. |
| Dharma Rose always welcomes links from its satified customers; it is a big help in keeping us viable compared with those huge, impersonal, commercial sites with enormous advertising budgets. It doesn't have to be from a big, fancy site; links from family, personal, hobby, niche sites are all welcome -- every link helps! You can help spread the good word by linking to our new store front at http://www.cool-shirts.com, and of course here at home: http://www.dharmarose.com. Thank you! |

Shoyeido Incense
March 25, 2005
| Dharma Rose is honored to welcome Shoyeido to our family. These master craftsmen have been making what is widely considered to be the world's finest incense for 300 years. |
| Their most rare and exquisite scent sells for $7.50 a stick. Presently, we are offering only a modest sample of their selection, but are already looking forward to learning about incense ceremony and appreciation from the masters of this eternal art. We invite you to join us. |

Kwakiutl Native Northwest Artwork
| I have long been a huge fan of Kwakiutl art (most commonly known by Native Northwest totem poles), and was thrilled to find an outfit who specializes in authentic Native artists from the Northwest. |
| Not only do they have lots of beautiful T-shirts, but they also carry an exceptionally wide variety of other quality merchandise. We expect to add generously in the future, but for now we are offering the plush fleece blanket shown below, and an apron; there will be more art for both those as well. |

PayPal
September 12th, 2003

| While Dharma Rose has always offered secure shopping, and recently added our own 128-bit SSL certificates, thereby offering the highest level of encryption and security possible, we appreciate that there are some who do not want to give out their credit card information to a variety of vendors, even over secure connections. For those people there is PayPal, and now Dharma Rose directly supports this single payment system. |

Dharma Rose Gallery
August 11th, 2001

| Check out the first installation in yet another new feature at Dharma Rose: a series of galleries. This first room is in honor of our gardens section, and features a dozen photographs of butterflies found near our New Hampshire home. There are a couple we have yet to identify; any assistance would be most welcome. Enjoy. |
